Thanks to our New Seniors Sponsor, Anaconda, we have the Anaconda Adventurous Award

Anaconda adventurous player of the week
Special thanks to our new senior mens and women’s teams sponsor, Anaconda, who have kindly donated gift cards for our intrepid players of the week.

The next round of recipients for the West Gosford @anacondastores player of the week goes to three fellas in the Men's BPL squad, Alex Muscat, Nathan Holt and Corey Hughes.
One night after training these guys assisted a female who appeared to be in a bit of distress at the oval by keeping her safe. The fellas stayed with the lady until emergency services arrived and cared for her.
Congratulations fellas

This weeks recipients for Anaconda player of the week are:
Brad ‘Boo’ Bowers (Mens BPL)
A very worthy recipient of this award, having covered plenty of kilometers up and down the left hand side of Kariong oval, in arguably one the toughest matches Kariong first grade have played to date. Boo set up one of the goals with a nice cross into the box and made a crucial save by fantastically clearing the ball off the line in the 90th minute to keep the game in Kariong’s favour at 2-1. Well done.

Rick Hourigan (M35C), channeled his inner Forrest Gump last weekend in the match against Kincumber, running up and down the sideline looking to make his impact in the game. Ricky’s adventurous shots (that looked more like crosses), gave Kariong plenty of opportunity to take the lead; however, we’re only able to walk away with a 1-1 draw. Ricks efforts in this game have earned him the award. Well done.

Lauren Seale (WAA7) is nominated for her first game back in 2 years after having a shattered ankle from taking goal kicks. Lauren had the choice of not playing in goals but she was brave and adventurous and the team trusted her to have their backs. The team won 4-1. It takes a lot of courage to get back on the field after such an injury, and because of this Lauren is deserved of this award.
